The head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada Molina, along with athlete Juan Luis Barrios and Rarámuri ultramarathoner Lorena Ramírez Hernández, presented the upcoming international sporting events. The Half Marathon will take place on July 13, followed by the Marathon on August 31, and to celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day, the race "Unstoppable Mexico" will be held on August 16.

Brugada Molina emphasized the goal of attracting runners from all over the country, with a special focus on indigenous athletes, to Mexico City. Lorena Ramírez will be the ambassador of the race, proudly representing the Rarámuri people. The head of Government highlighted the importance of building robust and accessible sports infrastructure, announcing the creation of 100 Utopias, distributed across each municipality.

The first race "Utopias for the City" was announced for March 2, connecting the Benito Juárez municipality with the Magdalena Mixiuhca sports city in Iztacalco. Registrations for this year's Half Marathon sold out in 48 hours, while records are expected to be broken in the upcoming XLII Mexico City Marathon.

The Mexico City Sports Institute detailed the actions prior to the marathons, including training sessions, recreational races, and events with social impact. Activities such as the Women's 10k Race, the Children's Marathon, and the Marathon Exhibition are highlighted. Additionally, a series of free races will be implemented across all Utopias.

Both the Half Marathon and Marathon will have similar routes and will feature international broadcasting by Claro Sports. The prizes for the top absolute places in both categories remain unchanged. Finally, appreciation was expressed for the support of sponsors such as BBVA Mexico, Claro Sports, and América Móvil in promoting these large-scale sporting events.
